This cartridge hits the key specs that 1911 pistols like: full metal jacket, 850 fps muzzle velocity. As a Russian round its bulletís jacket is mostly made out of steel, so thatís going to limit the number of indoor ranges you can take it to.

Red Army Standard ammo has these lovely little steel cases, so youíre not investing in copper-laden brass when you order this ammo. The cases are coated in thin layers of polymer to reduce friction that could complicate feeding, and the polymer is specially formulated to not get singed off under intense heat. This ammo is non-corrosive as well, but between its Berdan primers and steel cases youíre not going to want to bother trying to reload it.
